Hawk Island Triathlon: The race promotes health and fitness, builds awareness of free and low-cost opportunities to exercise in local green spaces, and brings positive publicity to a community plagued by negative stereotypes. South Lansing Farmers Market: The market provides food insecure residents with access to fresh, locally grown produce. Open seasonally from May through October, the market features local farmers and artisan producers, as well as live entertainment, children's activities, featured nonprofits, and dinner options. We accept snap benefits (EBT, WIC, and Market Fresh Coupons) and offer Double Up Food Bucks to EBT users who want to stretch their food dollars.

Garden/Nutrition: Our garden and nutrition programs are designed to increase consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables. We teach people to grow their own food, and manage an urban farm that donates all harvest to local food pantries, including our 24 hour walk up pantry. We also provide garden based nutrition education to children, families, and seniors

Outreach and Engagement: We use various media to share news, events, and resources submitted by and of interest to stakeholders. Part of outreach includes promoting and operating a 24 hour walk up food pantry, through which we engage and assist folks who need other forms of assistance.
