OUR WORK SUPPORTED AN IMMEDIATE HALT TO ALL NEW PERMITS AND INFRASTRUCTURE FOR OIL AND GAS EXPLORATION AND EXTRACTION ON PUBLIC LANDS AND WATERS. WE SUPPORTED POLICY CHANGES THAT START THE RESPONSIBLE PHASEOUT OF ALL OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION, ENSURING A JUST TRANSITION FOR IMPACTED WORKERS AND COMMUNITIES. THIS IS A NEW LAW THAT AIMS TO REFORM THE REFERENDUM PROCESS IN CALIFORNIA, CHANGE CONFUSING BALLOT LANGUAGE, AND STRENGTHEN TRANSPARENCY. * AS PART OF OUR EFFORTS IN HOLDING FOSSIL FUEL COMPANIES ACCOUNTABLE, WE DROVE CALLS AND MESSAGES DEMANDING LEGISLATORS IN CALIFORNIA TO PASS A GAS PRICE GOUGING BILL. * USING CREATIVE COMMUNICATIONS AND ENGAGING PEOPLE POWER, WE HELD THE CALIFORNIA STATE ADMINISTRATION ACCOUNTABLE WHEN THERE WAS A THREAT OF NEW OIL PERMITS BEING APPROVED. * AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL, WE MAINTAINED PRESSURE ON THE ADMINISTRATION TO DECLARE A CLIMATE EMERGENCY BY THE END OF 2023 AND PHASE OUT AND EVENTUALLY BAN OIL AND GAS EXPORTS AND UNLOCK MORE FEDERAL FUNDING FOR CLEAN ENERGY DEPLOYMENT BY 2024. * WE EMPLOYED SEVERAL EFFECTIVE TACTICS TO PRESSURE GOVERNMENTS THAT IMPORT US GAS. WE COLLABORATED WITH GREENPEACE INTERNATIONAL TO RELEASE A REPORT REVEALING HOW FOSSIL GAS COMPANIES ARE DRIVING GOVERNMENT POLICIES THAT LOCK THE US AND EUROPE INTO HAZARDOUS NEW LNG COMMITMENTS. WE ALSO LAUNCHED OUR TANKER TRACKER IN 2023 AS A NEW ONLINE TOOL TO TRACK AND TELL THE GLOBAL STORY OF US LNG EXPORTS.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
