Mission
The Cancer Schmancer Foundation is dedicated to saving women
-
The Cancer Schmancer Foundation educates the public about the risk factors and early warning signs of cancer and the tests that can help detect cancer in its earliest stages. CancerSchmancer.org includes user-friendly educational tools, cheat sheets, survivor stories, updated health news, peer groups, and consumer guides. We have implemented our initiative to partner with local, existing cancer screening services for women in need in order to build their capacity, increase the number of patients screened, and educate the community through grassroots educational efforts.- We have held two free Health Fairs with the Coalition for Womens Cancers serving over 400 women in need, providing free cancer screenings, blood pressure, and diabetes tests, in addition to nutrition counseling.- Our service partner Cure Cervical Cancer brought its mobile HPV testing and treatment model to Kenya, serving women where they live in high-need communities in addition to equipping local governments and healthcare workers to sustain these services for the long term.- We held our annual Master Class Health Summit in October in Los Angeles for 300 guests, with an emphasis on empowering the aging woman. This event was recorded, edited, and distributed worldwide on our website.- The Master Class program is the cornerstone of our prevention prong, providing access to renowned doctors about the latest advancements in the prevention of cancer and other diseases. As such, we have archived all of our past Health Summits into a free, searchable online video database to make the information simple and easy to find.- Our Detox Your Home School Program educates students about preventing cancer and other chronic disease through healthy lifestyle change. Our program currently reaches 100+ schools, and we are working with educational systems and private corporations to expand that reach and to provide content tailored to specific age groups.- Cancer Schmancers BE THE CHANGE youth program remains available online along with a downloadable teacher/facilitator guide for independent study after viewing. This program educates young people how to identify and eliminate toxins and other carcinogens in their daily routines and to use their spending power to influence healthy, sustainable manufacturing.- Our consumer-focused Detox Your Home Party provides easy-to-understand-and-implement solutions about making healthy choices for products we put in our mouths, on our skin, and around our homes and gardens. The program is provided free online and was downloaded 500+ times.- Fran Drescher continues to speak about her own cancer survival journey and is vetting new speaking opportunities.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
