Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.

Grants on this return

  • Angel Charity for Children committed $800,000 to fund the renovation of five laboratories and one research office space at the Angel Charity for Children Wings for Genetic Research. The existing labs have been well-used for over 30 years and have exceeded their lifespan. With the lab renovations, the physician scientists, students, and researchers at Steele Children's Research Center will be able to conduct state-of-the art genomic sequencing for up to 1,500 children annually, enabling physicians to use genetics as a front-end diagnostic tool by providing earlier detection of a variety of diseases.

  • Angel Charity awarded $75,000 to fund programming for refugee youth which includes teen girls and boys empowerment groups, trauma care groups, youth tutoring programs, weekly elementary playdates, International Kids Summer Camp, and teen driving practice. This award will expand services to an additional 400 refugee and immigrant youth in Pima County.

  • Angel Charity awarded $75,000 to increase funding to the Operation School Bell Program, which will provide new school clothes, underwear, socks, shoes, warm hoodies, backpacks, and new age-appropriate books for 750 additional students in Pima County Title I schools.

  • Angel Charity awarded $63,300 for the creation of the Educational Community Home Outreach (ECHO) Pilot Program at Nash Elementary school located in high-need zip codes. This program is based on a successful model that provides no-cost after-school programming, enrichment and sports programs, summer academic achievement classes, and other community outreach services for elementary aged children, their siblings, and families. This program will directly benefit over 900 children in the Amphitheater Public School District.

  • Angel Charity awarded $25,000 to provide membership scholarships to 100 teachers and allow for the hiring of a part time Development Coordinator to focus on fundraising and community engagement. Angel funding will also expand the reach of the Treasures 4 Teachers Mobile Program to six Title I schools in Pima County. Teacher memberships ($35 per year) allow teachers to shop an unlimited number of times each year and select all the various supplies they need for the students in their classrooms.

  • Angel Charity awarded $20,000 to launch the Sibling Angel Pak program at Diamond Children's Medical Center, expanding upon the previously funded Courtney's Angel Pak program. This new program will allow custom backpacks and personal items to be gifted to patient siblings from newly diagnosed pediatric oncology patients, impacting 80-100 families per year.

  • Angel Charity awarded $16,600 to update, distribute, and implement Musical Education Adaptive Curriculum in Exceptional Education classrooms in Pima County schools. This funding will also train additional staff, supply 100 Adaptive Method books and 100 Chord Buddy assistive devices to allow an additional 165 Exceptional Education students to participate.

  • Angel Charity awarded $10,000 to produce and expand the delivery of Milo & Moxie: Smart Safety Rangers and Wildfire Prevention curriculum kits. These early childhood programs will educate 28,000 Pima County children about fire safety, burn prevention, and wildfire preparation and prevention.

  • Endowment funds held in Angel Charity for Children, Inc. that the original donor agreed to move to the Foundation and as approved by the board of directors of Angel Charity for Children, Inc. were moved to the Foundation so they can manage the funds and disburse the income for charitable purposes related to Angel Charity for Children, Inc.
