Mission
CEIBA VIDAs mission is to ignite change through Christian education. We believe education is the ultimate catalyst for life change and therefore, must be approached holistically. Tangibly, we do this through our girls school in Guatemala, Liberty Christian Academy. Through education, we can invest in the lives of our students and their parents by modeling Christs love for them. We can instill an understanding that they are NOT defined by their circumstances they are defined by their relationship with God. Our vision is to see our holistic model of education that starts with a child, but works its way through the whole family transforming communities for Christ in Guatemala.

Liberty Christian Academy is CEIBA VIDAs primary outreach project in Guatemala. We are an all-girls school based in Pamoca a village of San Raimundo, Guatemala. We provide the most vulnerable girls in our area with quality Christian education, nutrition and counseling. Our vision is to create a community of strong, independent, service-minded Christian women who are equipped with the education & skills needed to emerge out of abuse and poverty. Our mission is to provide young girls an excellent and challenging educational experience to help them know, love, and practice what is true and good, while preparing them to live purposefully and intelligently in service to God and their community. We believe education is the ultimate catalyst for life change and therefore, must be approached holistically. Through education, we can invest in our students lives by modeling Christs love for them, and instill an understanding that they are NOT defined by their circumstances they are defined by their relationship with God. Liberty Academy is a refuge for healing. We provide students with counseling, a safe place to grow & thrive and a community of people who love them. A very small percentage of funding is brought in through the sale of coffee and T-shirts.

CEIBA VIDA (CV) strives to form partnerships and work together with others who serve the same community in Guatemala we do. This partnership served the communities in and surrounding our school, Liberty Christian Academy, and provided free wellness check ups to our students once a year. CEIBA VIDA and Rescate Balam worked together to bring first response, search & rescue and EMS training to rural villages in Guatemala. While this partnership was fruitful for many years, we (CEIBA VIDA) decided to end our partnership, on good terms, with Rescate Balam at the end of 2023 due to our organizations not aligning on certain core values. A total of $500 a month was sent to Rescate Balam for the purchase of medical supplies and to supplement their base rent & transportation. This partnership was funded 100% with designated contributions received from generous individuals.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
