Activities or mission (Part I)
Re-Volv is a climate justice Nonprofit that helps community-serving nonprofits across the country go solar, while raising awareness about the benefits of solar power and training the next generation of clean energy leaders at universities and communities throughout the country.
-
In 2022 Re-Volv financed 14 new solar installations for nonprofits, the largest # to date, bringing the total # of solar projects RE-Volv has financed to 41. The 14 community-serving nonprofits were located in CA, NM and NY. Collectively, these nonprofits serve over 14K members of their communities with critical services that improve quality of life from affordable housing, feeding the hungry, youth & mental health services. Over the lifetime of the solar systems, these nonprofits will collectively save over $15M on their electric bills, which they can use to better serve their communities. During this time, they will avoid emitting 68,441 tons of carbon-dioxide. The real heroes behind these projects are the 87 volunteer "Solar Ambassadors" who Re-volv trained & coached throughout the year to lead these projects at the community level, while educating their fellow community members about the benefits of solar energy and inspiring them to take action to promote and advocate for clean energy locally.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
