Mission and programs · 2025
Mission
Connecting children to nature to create a more beautiful, resilient and just world.
-
Camps - Ithaca Childrens Garden provides summer camp opportunities for children. The purpose of our summer camp program is to engage children entirely through sensory exploration of their environment. Community Programs - Outreach beyond the Garden gates, such as tabling at local festival and events and neighborhood gatherings. Such programming is hands-on and interactive including planting projects including container garden kits that children and families can make and take home. Garden Programs: Our preschool morning program is operated Monday through Thursday during the school year. School Programs - Hosting field trips at the garden and delivering hands-on nature based programs in classrooms.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
