Mission and programs · 2022

Mission

FARMERS AND HUNTERS FEEDING THE HUNGRY IS AN OUTREACH MINISTRY OF THE PEOPLE OF GOD CALLED UPON TO FEED NUTRITIOUS MEAT TO THE HUNGRY AMONG US NATIONWIDE.

Activities or mission (Part I)

THE ORGANIZATION HELPS TRANSFORM A GOD-GIVEN RESOURCE - DEER, ELK AND LIVESTOCK - INTO NUTRITIOUS MEAT TO FEED THE HUNGRY OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES.

  • Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry, Inc. invites hunters and farmers in states nationwide to donate deer, elk, and livestock to local butcher shops for processing and distribution to the needy through food banks, pantries, and ministries. The Organization compensates the participating butcher shops for processing and packaging the donated meat so that donors and recipients can participate free of charge. Developmental resources, training and support services are provided to volunteers who coordinate the program locally in their state. Approximately 64 tons of meat was donated and processed this year yielding 511 thousand meal servings of nutritious meat. The Organization also networks with other similar donation programs in various states, provides occasional financial support to such programs, and works to encourage increased hunter participation and public support for all such programs through education and awareness campaigns. Details regarding program activities, income and expenses are available upon request.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
