1. Program Support-(Educators and System Supports) New Teacher Program - Funds dedicated to supporting our new teachers in BCS. This includes Beginning Teach Support as well. Teacher of the Year - Provide $200, courtesy of HomeTrust Bank to the Teacher of the year. Principal of the Year - Provide $200, courtesy of First Citizens Bank to the Principal of the Year. BCS Heroes Campaign - Three hundred BCS employees names are randomly drawn each semester and provided $10 gift cards. This is just a small way to say thank you for their hard work. BCSTEACH Program - A program designed to Grow our Own educators. Thanks to a grant from Dogwood Health and Asheville Chamber of Commerce we were able to support future teacher clubs at high schools and middle schools. These funds help launch schools to be able to launch Teacher Cadet courses in the high school beginning in 2024-2025. In addition, we were able to award funds for teacher assistants to continue their pathway to becoming a teacher and assist a teacher who is clearing their teaching license. We want to thank Bank of America for supporting this program for the 2024-25 school year.

This event allows us to celebrate our work for the year. Military Ball - This joint opportunity promotes students in our JROTC and ROTC programs. This gala celebrates the work of our outstanding students and their leadership talents. Top Scholars Celebration - The foundation provided funds to help celebrate the 2024 BCS Top Scholars. Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
