Mission
Our mission is to expose a diverse population of young girls to a high quality STEM academy that inspires confidence in their pursuit of learning throughout the year
-
STEM ClubProject Scientist's after-school STEAM Club offers girls, aged 4-12 an opportunity to discover the magic of hands-on science, technology, engineering arts, and math. The club meets once a week in specific locations, and it is tailored to each age group and available in English or Spanish. Thanks to generous donors, STEAM Club is offered at little to no cost to many schools and organizations.
Expenses $523,126 · Revenue $46,956

STEM LabProject Scientist provides girls with a dynamic and fun-filled summer. The program runs for a week or more in specific locations and features full day programs with curriculum tailored by age for girls aged 4-12. The programs take place on-site at STEM companies or at schools. Project Scientist parters with organizations, school districs, schools, and non profits to offer STEAM Lab.
Expenses $466,544 · Revenue $15,428

SpanishIn Mexico, 14% of women attain a STEM degree, compared to 38% of men. In the U.S., only 2.4% of Latinas make up the STEM workforce. There are 3.8 million students in schools across the nation that are native Spanish speakers. By providing STEM programming in Spanish, we have the opportunity to support closing the gaps we see in STEM today. Introducing STEM careers provides them with role-models they can relate to and see they, too, belong in STEM.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
