Mission
Small Things works with local partners and community leaders to alleviate poverty by improving food security and collaborating to address other community needs.
-
Small Things distributes food and household goods through its network of 50+ local, nonprofit food pantries, as well as through its own markets operated in low income sections of Philadelphia. Small Things' markets and partners' pantries seek to fight poverty starting with food. Each week, Small Things sources donations of produce, protein, dry goods, and household goods that are distributed to those experiencing food insecurity. Small Things is also involved in job training using its warehouse equipment, feeding those experiencing homelessness, and providing healthy snacks to children in low-income neighborhoods.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
