TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP IN ARTICULATING AND PUBLICIZING THE AIMS AND GOALS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND IN IDENTIFYING AND SUPPORTING EFFORTS TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS.
