Mission and programs · 2024
Mission
Through collaborative action, we empower individuals and communities to improve both the environment and their well-being, creating lasting, impactful change by regenerating ecosystems and reconnecting people back to nature.
Activities or mission (Part I)
Through collaborative action, we empower individuals and communities to improve both the environment and their well-being. This creates impactful change by regenerating ecosystems and reconnecting people back to nature.
-
Our organization is dedicated to fostering environmental stewardship and sustainability through a series of interconnected programs that focus on the restoration and preservation of natural ecosystems. The TREE program actively reforest areas by planting and preserving native trees, engaging local communities to restore public lands and promote sustainable ecosystems. SUNLINE brings together the community to activate the Pinellas Trail as a hub for transportation, recreation, green space, and economic growth. Through the BLUE program, we organize beach cleanups and promote ocean education, aiming to reconnect people with the ocean and advocate for resilient coastal ecosystems. Additionally, the Egmont Key Alliance works to preserve and protect the unique natural and cultural heritage of Egmont Key, ensuring that its ecosystems and historical significance thrive for future generations. Together, these programs work harmoniously to build a more sustainable, connected, and empowered community dedicated to the health of our environment.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
