Mission
To foster mutual collaboration and communication within the diverse Muslim community.
-
In FY 2024, MCN made significant strides in addressing critical community needs and fostering empowerment. Through our dedicated efforts, we served over 2,400 meals to individuals experiencing food insecurity and homelessness at our Interfaith Soup Kitchen, providing nourishment and hope to those most in need. During the holy month of Ramadan, we distributed 1,400 Iftar meals, ensuring those fasting had access to ready, wholesome meals. Our civic education initiatives reached 522 community members, equipping them with vital knowledge about immigrant rights, voter education, and voter rights. These workshops were instrumental in fostering civic engagement and empowering individuals to participate actively in their communities.Investing in future leaders, we hosted Youth Civic Leadership Workshops, where 31 high school students completed a 13-week leadership program. This initiative helped them develop skills in community engagement, public speaking, and leadership while learning how to advocate for community needs and navigate local government and support systems. We also prioritized women's empowerment and well-being. Over 215 women across eight districts benefited from targeted programs, including domestic violence awareness workshops, food services, financial literacy training, and wellness workshops focused on health, hygiene, and self-care. In addition to direct services, women seeking further support were referred to partner organizations for specialized assistance.Together, these efforts reflect our unwavering commitment to addressing food insecurity, promoting civic engagement, and empowering individuals--particularly women and youth--to lead healthier, more informed, and self-sufficient lives.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
