Mission and programs · 2024

Mission

Pledge to Humanity empowers our youngest generations to volunteer in efforts that improve the quality of life for children, families, and seniors in need through local and global initiatives.

  • Pledge to Humanity partners with numerous public and private schools in Contra Costa County. The children at these schools are invited to join a PTH kid's group, PTH club or PTH sponsored school-wide giveback event. These young volunteers share PTH's passion to help others in their local community by providing aid, assistance and spreading cheer. When children and teens lead the effort to make a difference, their experience - from inception to reflection - is transformative. They grow into empathetic leaders who embrace a lifelong commitment to service.

    Expenses $171,126 · Revenue $8,578

  • Pledge to Humanity funds children's programs throughout the world that deal with issues such as poverty, education, medical care and clean water.

    Expenses $23,101 · Grants $22,247

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
