Activities or mission (Part I)

Arouet is a modern, innovative, second chance movement for women transitioning out of the correctional system. Their mission is to restore individuals, rebuild families, and positively impact communities. Continued on Schedule O.

  • The Arouet Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that focuses on helping women both pre and post release from prison by emphasizing career readiness, career placement and community connections. We also provide comprehensive wrap around services including access to health, wellness, community, education, financial readiness, housing and other community resources. We also host various events throughout the year, such as the Fair Chance Employment Symposium, which provides invaluable guidance about Fair Chance hiring practices from corporate leaders and policymakers that all businesses should be aware of becoming successful Fair Chance employers. Other events include reentry simulations, storytelling events, community activities and classes, job fairs, and employment fairs and holiday events.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
