La Pine Community Kitchen meets the needs of our community by providing food and clothing in a welcoming safe environment. The "Kitchen" has provided over 23,000 hot nutritious meals, 404,000 lbs. of food for our non-USDA food boxes, 12,000 pieces of clothing including tents, tarps, sleeping bags, warm jackets, boots and other cold weather gear. We serve 36% veterans, 18% children and overall 54% of our patrons are 60 years and older. Many of our patrons are un-homed and are surviving in homeless camps in our local woods, others are living in cars.
Activities or mission (Part I)
Community Kitchen meets the needs by providing free food (non-USDA) food boxes 2 times weekly, hot nutritious lunches 5 days a week. We also provide, tents, tarps, blankets and clothing to the no income/low income women, men and children. The "Kitchens" population served in 2022 is over 9800 individuals. Veterans 38%, children 12%. The others served include 44% over the age of 60. The "Kitchen" has given out over 404,000 lbs. of food in food boxes, over 23,000 hot lunches and 12,000 pieces of clothing and survival equipment since many of our patrons are living in unhoused camps in the woods. We have many clients who have integrated back into jobs, housing, and are comfortable in social and other various settings. In addition, we are able to connect our patrons with potential housing and health care. Many of our patrons have pets, so we were able to provide a free pet clinic.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
