Mission
The National Legal Advocacy Network d/b/a Grassroots Law & Organizing for Workers is a legal non-profit organization dedicated to using legal strategies as a tool to build power for marginalized workers and create systemic change through deep partnerships with work centers and other base-building organizations.
Activities or mission (Part I)
The Organization seeks to support the movement for economic, racial and gender justice by building the base of experienced and principled movement lawyers throughout the country; partnering with worker centers to implement hybrid legal and organizing strategies that build worker power; leading and coordinating strategic litigation; and providing legal analysis on legislative policies.

1) Built Worker Center BarTo enhance the capacity of the low-wage worker movement, GLOW increased the legal support available to worker centers and their members throughout the country by establishing a Worker Center Bar. To this end, GLOW engaged the support of 35 private attorneys who agreed to provide pro bono legal support to worker centers serving low income communities. GLOW provided training and support for these volunteers on the Worker Center Bar and hosted monthly meetings. In addition, GLOW sponsored 18 law school interns to gain hands on experience of providing legal support to worker centers. 2) Engaging in Law & Organizing PartnershipsTo ensure that legal resources are being leveraged in support of the low-wage workers, GLOW partnered with 25 non-profit worker centers throughout the country to support their ability to defend the workplace rights of their constituencies. GLOW held trainings on workplace rights for the members of 15 organizations. In addition, GLOW held trainings and monthly office hours for the staff of 30 organizations to answer legal questions and provide support. 3)Enforcement of Workplace RightsGLOW assisted over 1,000 low income workers in filing complaints about illegal workplace practices, including wage theft, discrimination, sexual harassment and retaliation for engaging in legally protected activity. GLOW has assisted low-income workers in recovering $11M in 2024. In addition, GLOW assisted 36 workers to bring challenges from unlawful actions by their employer to federal, state and local government agencies around the country.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
