Mission
The mission of the Family Care Network is to enhance the wellbeing of children and families in partnership with our community.
Activities or mission (Part I)
Family Care Network, Inc. was founded as a California public benefit nonprofit corporation in August of 1987 with the purpose of creating family-based treatment programs as an alternative to group home or institutional care of children and youth. Since our inception, we have partnered closely with San Luis Obispo County's Behavioral Health Department, Department of Social Services, and Probation Department to address the social and emotional needs of our community through innovative, evidence-based programs. Over the past thirty-seven years, FCNI has provided stability, hope, support, and empowerment to over 19,000 individuals and families in our community facing a variety of needs and challenges. The agency currently serves San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties with over twenty distinct programs delivered within five service divisions, designed to strengthen and preserve families and individuals impacted by trauma. The agency has been accredited by the Joint Commission since 2014

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.

Other employee salaries are set by the CEO based on comparability data, length of service and the financial ability of the agency.
