Mission
ALLIED CLIMATE PARTNERS' (ACP) MISSION IS TO INVEST CATALYTIC CAPITAL TO RESOLVE CLIMATE FINANCE BOTTLENECKS IN EMERGING MARKETS AND DEVELOPING ECONOMIES BY FOSTERING, SUPPORTING, PROMOTING, AND CONDUCTING PROGRAMS, PROJECTS, AND ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING INNOVATING FINANCING MECHANISMS, DESIGNED TO MITIGATE THE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE AND ENHANCE THE ABILITY OF VULNERABLE AND AT RISK COMMUNITIES, IN ORDER TO INCREASE CLIMATE RESILIENCY AND SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC GROWTH AND ENERGY SECURITY GROUNDED IN THE TRANSITION TO CLEAN ENERGY AND ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE.
Activities or mission (Part I)
USING INNOVATIVE FINANCING MECHANISMS TO INCREASE THE FLOW OF PHILANTHROPIC CATALYTIC CAPITAL TO CLIMATE-RELATED PROJECTS AND BUSINESSES IN EMERGING MARKETS AND DEVELOPING ECONOMIES THAT WILL HAVE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THE ADVERSE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE AND ENHANCE THE ABILITY OF VULNERABLE AND AT-RISK COMMUNITIES TO EFFECTIVELY MANAGE CLIMATE RISK, PROMOTE CLIMATE RESILIENCY, AND SUPPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
-
ALLIED CLIMATE PARTNERS (ACP) SEEKS TO ADDRESS CLIMATE FINANCE CHALLENGES IN EMERGING MARKETS AND DEVELOPING ECONOMIES BY PROVIDING EARLY-STAGE-FOCUSED INVESTMENT PLATFORMS AND OTHERS FOCUSED ON CRITICAL CLIMATE-RELATED BOTTLENECKS WITH APPROPRIATE RISK-ORIENTED CAPITAL AND A MANDATE TO INVEST IN CLIMATE-FOCUSED COMPANIES THAT LACK ACCESS TO CAPITAL AND HAVE SIGNIFICANT POTENTIAL TO ADDRESS THE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE. THE PRIMARY PROBLEMS WITH CATALYZING EFFECTIVE, LONG-LASTING CHANGE WHEN WORKING TO AMELIORATE THE DEVASTATING EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ARE THE LACK OF INVESTMENT CAPITAL FOR POTENTIALLY EFFECTIVE PROJECTS AND A LACK OF MANAGERS AND FUNDS WHO ARE FOCUSED ON PRIORITIZING IMPACT AND CLIMATE RESILIENCY OVER RETURNS. ACP PLANS TO ADDRESS THESE PROBLEMS BY FUNDING INVESTMENT MANAGERS FOCUSED ON RAISING AND INVESTING CAPITAL TO ADDRESS THE FINANCING GAP AT THESE EARLY, RISK-ORIENTED STAGES OF THE PROJECT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS, WHEN STANDARD FINANCING IS DIFFICULT TO COME BY. IT WILL UTILIZE CAPITAL STRATEGICALLY TO LEVERAGE AND STIMULATE ADDITIONAL MARKET FUNDING, AND ITS INVESTMENTS WILL OFTEN BE IN JUNIOR, MORE CATALYTIC TRANCHES.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
