Mission and programs · 2024
Primary exempt purpose
The purpose of Good Market is to catalyze the transition to a 21st century economy that is good for people and good for the planet. Good Market is a curated platform for social enterprises that meet minimum sector standards, operate in a way that considers health, social impact, and environmental responsibility and prioritize people and planet over short-term profit maximization. The online platform makes it easier for participants in the new economy to find and connect with each other across economic sectors, income level, language barriers, and regional divides. The online platform serves as an enabling infrastructure to support this community.
-
Community Curation In 2024, 836 social enterprises, responsible businesses, cooperatives, nonprofits, and voluntary initiatives became Good Market approved. As of December 31, 2024, 3,987 enterprises across 113 countries were approved on the platform. More than 130 networks were using the digital commons.

They also added directories for special offers and supporters, information systems for social and environmental certifications and verifications, searchable collections, data query and visualization tools, and API integrations with other platforms and tools. The community translation project expanded to 24 global languages.
