Mission

Village Voices International empowers marginalized people in rural Kenyan villages by providing the technical and development resources necessary for them to implement and sustain community-led initiatives designed to promote self-sufficiency and build community resilience.

  • In 2024, a medical dispensary was established in the village to provide access to modern healthcare. This involved rehab of an existing building to serve as the clinic; security fencing; installation of electric service; purchase of medical equipment/clinic furniture and laboratory supplies; 6 months of operational overhead including salary stipends for 5 staff members

    Expenses $13,100

  • Nine additional water distribution sites were installed in the village of Kailer - each with a concrete pad, 5,000 Liter water storage tank, sunshade and piping to a tap. This has allowed access to safe water within 15 minutes of all 1600 residents. Expenses include materials and stipend for labor; assistance for purchase of water treatment chemical and replacement part for the reverse osmosis system.

    Expenses $11,050

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
