Mission

They work at providing support based on recognizing talent, dedication and skill for all athletes and fans regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion, national origin or other discriminatory factors.

  • YCP continued to expand its work in promoting diversity and inclusion in sports. You Can Play returned to a post-Covid schedule of promoting LGBTQ+ workshops and events with teams in the National Hockey League, Major League Soccer, Minor League Baseball and others. Advocacy for athletes and fans in soccer took place during World Cup previews in Qatar. You Can Play expanded into new roles in professional and amateur golf and tennis.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
