Mission and programs · 2024

Mission

The Brazoria County Fair provides opportunities for Brazoria County youth to gain educational experiences through the exhibition of livestock, agriculture, science, and related projects. These experiences offer youth the opportunity to gain financial support for higher education through the sale of these projects and the BCFA Scholarship program.

Activities or mission (Part I)

To provide educational opportunities and scholarships to the youth of Brazoria County.

  • Brazoria County Fat Stock and Fair Association, Inc. (BCFA) was formed in 1938 to promote the youth of Brazoria County through agriculture and education. The annual Brazoria County Fair and Rodeo (the Fair) is BCFA's primary fundraising and program activity. BCFA supports the education of Brazoria County youth through experiences that include raising and exhibiting livestock, participating in art, science, and rodeo projects, as well as youth-related initiatives. The BCFA offers financial support for higher education through its scholarship program.
