Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.

The filer's explanations (Part III)
- Schedule J, Part I, Line 1a Travel for companions
- Youth for Christ USA offers a spousal travel benefit to VPs and officers who travel on bona fide business purposes related to the organization's international investments. These travel expenses are reimbursed by Youth for Christ USA as taxable income to the employee. Sean Wallinger, Treasurer, and Matt Ridgely, VP of People Stewardship, received this benefit in FYE 6/30/24. During 23/24 fiscal year, the board approved the President/CEO's spouse to accompany the President/CEO when prudent for YFC business. These travel expenses were excluded from taxable income.
- Schedule J, Part I, Line 1a Housing allowance or residence for personal use
- Housing allowance: Pursuant to Internal Revenue Code Section 107, ministerial housing allowances are provided for qualifying ministerial employees. This is not included in taxable compensation. Jacob Bland, CEO/President met the qualifications for and received a ministerial housing allowance during the tax year.
- Schedule J, Part I, Line 4a Severance or change-of-control payment
- Kevin Bussema, VP Strategic Alignment, received severance of $81,329 during 2023.
