Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.

The filer's explanations (Part III)
- Part I, Line 1a
- The Head of School lives in Fryeburg Academy housing, namely the Fessenden House, located on the Fryeburg Academy campus. The Academy estimates the annual value of this housing to be approximately $36,000. Due to the nature of the Head of School's responsibilities, including the need for the Head of School to be on campus and accessible at nearly all hours during the school semester, this lodging has been deemed by the Organization to be furnished for the convenience of Fryeburg Academy, and that such a living arrangement is required for the Head of School position. Accordingly, the value of the housing allowance has not been included in the Head of School's taxable compensation, though it is included in the total amount of non-taxable benefits reported on this Schedule J, Part II, Column D. Erin Mayo, the Organization's Former Head of School, ended her term of service on June 30, 2023. As Ms. Mayo was compensated over $100,000 during the 2023 calendar year, she has been listed as a "Former Officer" on this Form 990, Part VII in accordance with IRS Instructions. Additionally, while the Organization views the total housing benefit to be worth $36,000 on an annual basis, because Ms. Mayo ended her term of service as of June 2023, only $18,000 of non-taxable housing benefits are included in the amounts reported for her on Schedule J, Part II, Column D. Similarly, Mr. Joseph Manning, the Organization's new Head of School, began his term of service in July 2023. Therefore, Mr. Manning is also only recognizing $18,000 of non-taxable housing benefits for the 2023 calendar year; such are included in the figures reported for him on this Form 990, Part VII, Column F; and on this Schedule J, Part II, Column D.
Part I's answers as filed. A line not listed was left unanswered; on lines 1a and 3 that means the box was not checked.
