Primary exempt purpose
OUR MISSION IS TO BROADEN THE HORIZONS OF YOUNG STUDENTS BY CONNECTING THEM WITH CUTTING-EDGE, LEADING COMPANIES IN THE SUSTAINABLE FOOD SPACE. THE FUTURE OF FOOD ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAM EMPOWERS AND PREPARES HISTORICALLY DISENFRANCHISED HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO BECOME LEADERS WITHIN THE EMERGING FOODTECH AND AGTECH SECTORS.
-
DURING AN IMMERSIVE MONTH-LONG PROGRAM IN THE BAY AREA, STUDENTS WORK ON A PRODUCT CHALLENGE: TO IDENTIFY A PROBLEM WITHIN THE FOOD SYSTEM AND PROTOTYPE A COMPANY THAT SOLVES THAT PROBLEM. AS PART OF THE PROGRAM COURSEWORK, STUDENTS WORK WITH MBA STUDENTS. THE GRADUATE STUDENTS OFFER GUIDANCE ABOUT ENTREPRENEURSHIP, HELPING OUR STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THE CHALLENGES NEW COMPANIES FACE IN THE SUSTAINABLE FOOD SPACE. STUDENTS ALSO PARTICIPATE IN WEEKLY SESSIONS LED BY MBA STUDENTS AND PROFESSORS. THESE SESSIONS INFORM AND INSPIRE THE STUDENTS TO APPLY THEIR NEWFOUND KNOWLEDGE IN THE PRODUCT CHALLENGE. OUR COMPANY PARTICIPANTS PROVIDE THE STUDENTS WITH UNPARALLELD ACCESS TO LEADERSHIP AND INNOVATORS WITHIN THE SUSTAINABLE FOOD SECTOR. AT THE END OF THE MONTH-LONG PROGRAM, STUDENTS PRESENT THEIR PRODUCT IDEAS IN FRONT OF AN AUDIENCE.
