THE MARCY LAB SCHOOL IS A FREE-OF-COST, DIRECT PATHWAY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE FROM LOW SOCIOECONOMIC BACKGROUNDS TO EMPLOYMENT IN ENTRY-LEVEL TECH ROLES. WE RUN TWO CONCURRENT MAJOR PROGRAMS, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AND DATA ANALYTICS. THROUGH OVER 2,000 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION, MORE THAN MOST FOUR-YEAR COMPUTER TECH DEGREES, FELLOWS PARTICIPATE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE OR DATA ANALYTICS LECTURES WHERE THEY LEARN FUNDAMENTAL TECHNICAL SKILLS FOR THEIR MAJOR, SUCH AS SERVER-SIDE AND FRONT-END WEB DEVELOPMENT AND TOOLS LIKE EXCEL, SQL, TABLEAU, AND PYTHON. THE CURRICULUM IS DESIGNED TO MIRROR THE TECHNICAL INTERVIEWS THEY'LL ENCOUNTER IN THE JOB MARKET AND IS CONTINUALLY INFORMED BY THE EVOLVING NEEDS OF OUR EMPLOYER PARTNERS, ENSURING FELLOWS GRADUATE WITH THE TOOLS AND EXPERIENCE TO SUCCEED. IN PARALLEL, 25% OF INSTRUCTIONAL TIME IS DEDICATED TO OUR LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT CURRICULUM THAT FOCUSES ON CONVERSATIONS ABOUT LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, FINANCIAL LITERACY, CIVIC STUDIES, EQUITY, ETHICS, AND CAREER READINESS. FELLOWS EXPLORE TEXTS BY JAMES BALDWIN, AUDRE LORDE, AND OTHERS, WHILE RECEIVING BI-WEEKLY COACHING THAT SUPPORTS THEIR GROWTH AS BOTH TECHNOLOGISTS AND LEADERS. THE PROGRAM CULMINATES IN A CIVIC TECHNOLOGY HACKATHON, WHERE FELLOWS BUILD PRODUCTION-READY APPLICATIONS TO SOLVE REAL-WORLD CHALLENGES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES AND ADD TO THEIR PROFESSIONAL PORTFOLIOS. A FINAL THREE-MONTH CAPSTONE OR EXTERNAL APPRENTICESHIP ALLOWS FELLOWS TO DEEPEN THEIR SKILLS THROUGH EMPLOYER-DESIGNED PROJECTS. GRADUATES LEAVE WITH A STRONG PORTFOLIO, INDUSTRY-ALIGNED EXPERIENCE, AND ACCESS TO A 24-WEEK CAREER LAUNCH ACCELERATOR PROGRAM FOR THOSE STILL LOOKING FOR A FULL-TIME ROLE POST GRADUATION, FOLLOWED BY TWO YEARS OF ALUMNI CAREER COACHING AND CONTINUED SUPPORT.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
