Mission

THE FOUNDATION WAS FORMED TO SUPPORT, BENEFIT AND ASSIST THE WOMEN PRESIDENTS' ORGANIZATION'S MISSION TO ACCELERATE BUSINESS GROWTH, ENHANCE COMPETITIVENESS, AND PROMOTE ECONOMIC SECURITY FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS AND WOMEN-LED BUSINESSES. IT WILL PROVIDE A VEHICLE FOR CORPORATE SPONSORS, INDIVIDUAL DONORS AND OTHER FOUNDATIONS TO SUPPORT WPO'S EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS WITH CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS.

  • IN 2023 THE FWPO LAUNCHED SPARK BY HARVARD BUSINESS PUBLISHING, TO ALL CHAPTER CHAIRS, AND WPO MEMBERS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THEIR EXISTING MEMBERSHIP. SPARK IS A FLEXIBLE ONLINE PROGRAM WHICH CONTAINS ACCESS TO 18,500+ ARTICLES, 1630+ VIDEOS, 1500+ PODCASTS, 700+ HBR CASES, AND THE ABILITY TO SELF-CURATE CUSTOMIZED LEARNING PATHS. IN 2023, WE LAUNCHED A SUPPLEMENTARY TOOL FOR CHAPTER CHAIRS TO DELIVER RELEVANT, ENGAGING CONTENT AT CHAPTER MEETINGS USING SPARK RESOURCES, CALLED SPARK KITS. THE KITS ARE TOPICAL-BASED OVERVIEWS CONTAINING SUMMARIES OF SPARK CONTENT, DISCUSSION STARTERS AND KEY RESOURCES, WITH FACILITATION INSTRUCTIONS. THE FWPO HOSTED THE FIRST LEADING BUSINESS AND PERSONAL TRANSITIONS PROGRAM AT HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL (HBS) IN 2023. THIS EXCLUSIVE PROGRAM, CREATED AND LED BY THE EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSORS LYNDA APPLEGATE AND DAVID AGER, WAS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR WPO. THIS RARE OPPORTUNITY ALLOWED WPO MEMBERS TO LEARN FROM TOP PROFESSORS AT HBS AND HAVE ENRICHING DISCUSSIONS WITH OTHER WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS.

    Expenses $503,747

  • COMMUNICATION AND OUTREACH.

  • THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED ITS PROGRAM, FWPO LEADERSHIP FOR BUSINESS ACCELERATION IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HARVARD BUSINESS PUBLISHING. THE PROGRAM IS A SERIES OF SELF-DIRECTED MODULES WITH CONTENT IN MULTIPLE LANGUAGES FOR WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
