-
Mountain Air Community Fund (MACF) is a grant-based fund that raises money each year to help the people of Yancey County. Thanks to our communitys generous giving, MACF has provided invaluable assistance to numerous less fortunate neighbors in Yancey County. In 2024 the organization awarded $302,000 in grants to 18 nonprofit organizations supporting Yancey County residents. MACF has selected four important pillars in hopes of growing grant funds to make an even more lasting impact on our neighbors in need. The four pillars include: Food Insecurity, Education and the Arts, Child and Family Welfare and Medical and Healthcare.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
