Mission

Improve global education through cross-cultural exchange. Help grassroots organizations represent themselves to a global audience. Provide global network of volunteer activities. Provide grassroots oranizations with opportunities to recruit volunteers and receive donations.

  • Grants to international partner organizations and to volunteers from outside the United States. Omprakash conducts an ongoing vetting process through which it builds partnerships with grassorrts health, education and environmental organizations around the world. Then it allows these partner organizations to raise funds via the Ompradash website. At its sole discretion, Omprakash then transfers funds to partners as appropriate. Funds are used to support partner projects such as schools in Costa Rica, health clinics in Uganda, and disaster relief. Omprakash also offers occasional volunteer grants to volunteers from outside the US who seek to work with Omprakash partners.

    Expenses $5,318,270 · Grants $5,318,270 · Revenue $66,354

  • Grants to recipients in the United States. Some Omprakash partners operate as non-profits in the US, and address issues including envionmental sustainability and the fostering of cross-cultural dialog for high school students. Omprakash enables these organizations to raise funds via the Omprakash website, and then, at its sole discretion, Omprakash transfers funds to these partners.

    Expenses $390,320 · Grants $390,320 · Revenue $8,321

  • Provision of web platform for international partners and volunteers. The Omprakash website is a resource provided free of cost to all Omprakash partners and volunteers. The website allows volunteers to find opportunities, partners to find volunteers, and general sharing of information and resources. It also allows partners to raise funds to support their organizations. The website also holds online volunteer education courses. This program, known as Omprakash EdGE, contributes to our overall mission of supporting global education and providing our partners with well-trained volunteers. The program is tuition-based and thus generates some revenue.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
