California fundraising campaigns

What a paid campaign brought in under a charity's name, and what reached the charity — per campaign, as California published it. The IRS Form 990 reports paid fundraising only as a yearly total, so this view has no federal equivalent.

Read the campaign type before the money. A commercial coventurer is a business promising that a purchase benefits a charity, and a CF thrift store is a shop trading under a charity's name. Both file their own sales — not money raised for the charity, and not something the charity was ever going to receive. Only a commercial fundraiser or a vehicle donation programme solicited on a charity's behalf. Sales and solicitations are not comparable, which is why no percentage is shown between the columns.

The figures also do not add up: a coventurer reports one promotion's whole gross once for each charity that shared in it, so summing a column counts the same money more than once — and the same amount appearing on several consecutive rows is that, not a mistake.
