Mission

EMANCIPET, INC. IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT VETERINARY SERVICE PROVIDER FOUNDED IN JUNE 1999, DEDICATED TO MAKING VETERINARY CARE AFFORDABLE AND ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE. TO ACHIEVE THIS MISSION, EMANCIPET OPERATES A NETWORK OF MOBILE AND BRICK-AND-MORTAR (SEE SCHEDULE O)CLINICS ACROSS CENTRAL TEXAS, HOUSTON, AND PHILADELPHIA, PROVIDING LOW-COST, HIGH-VOLUME SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES AND PREVENTATIVE CARE TO UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES. IN 2024 ALONE, EMANCIPET'S NETWORK OF CLINICS PROVIDED OVER 248,000 LOW-COST OR FREE VISITS TO OVER 153,000 PETS. BEYOND CLINICAL CARE, EMANCIPET ALSO PROVIDES TRAINING AND CONSULTING SERVICES TO VETERINARIANS AND ANIMAL WELFARE PROFESSIONALS.

Activities or mission (Part I)

TO MAKE VETERINARY CARE AFFORDABLE AND ACCESSIBLE TO ALL PET OWNERS

  • HEALTHY PET SERVICESIN 2024, EMANCIPET PROVIDED WELLNESS EXAMS, VACCINES, MICROCHIPS, AND PREVENTATIVE MEDICATIONS TO OVER 110,000 PETS. OFFERING THESE ESSENTIAL SERVICES AT A LOW COST ALLOWS OWNERS TO PRIORITIZE PREVENTATIVE HEALTH WHILE ENSURING CARE IS ACCESSIBLE TO HELP MAINTAIN HIGH LEVELS OF PET HEALTH AND SAFETY THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY.

    Expenses $14,602,021 · Revenue $12,560,244

  • SPAY AND NEUTER PROCEDURESIN 2024, EMANCIPET PERFORMED OVER 51,000 SPAY AND NEUTER SURGERIES, HELPING TO ADDRESS MASSIVE COMMUNITY DEMAND FOR LOW-COST SURGICAL OPTIONS. BY OFFERING THESE PROCEDURES AT A FRACTION OF THE MARKET RATE, WE ENSURE THAT COST IS NEVER A BARRIER TO A SERVICE THAT IS VITAL FOR BOTH PET HEALTH AND COMMUNITY-WIDE POPULATION CONTROL.

    Expenses $8,742,698 · Revenue $7,514,667

  • HEARTWORM TREATMENTIN 2024, EMANCIPET PROVIDED HEARTWORM TREATMENT TO OVER 1,800 PETS IN TEXAS. BECAUSE THIS CARE CAN BE COST-PROHIBITIVE FOR PET OWNERS, WE PROVIDE A TRANSPARENT, LOW-COST PRICING MODEL. THIS ENSURES PET OWNERS CAN ACCESS LIFE-SAVING TREATMENT AND ESSENTIAL MEDICAL CARE THAT MAY OTHERWISE BE OUT OF REACH.

    Expenses $505,244 · Revenue $427,449

  • OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDE DENTAL SERVICES, ADDITIONAL SURGERIES, AND EMANCIPET NEW SCHOOL TRAININGS. IN 2024, EMANCIPET PERFORMED DENTAL PROCEDURES FOR OVER 900 PETS. DENTAL CARE IS OFTEN SKIPPED DUE TO HIGH COSTS AND SURGICAL FEES. BY OFFERING THESE SERVICES AT A TRANSPARENT, AFFORDABLE RATE, WE ALLOW OWNERS TO ADDRESS DENTAL DISEASE AND ORAL PAIN THAT MAY OTHERWISE GO UNTREATED.WHEN PETS REQUIRE SOFT-TISSUE PROCEDURES LIKE MASS REMOVALS OR WOUND REPAIRS, THE COST OF SPECIALTY SURGERY CAN BE A BARRIER TO OBTAINING CARE. IN 2024, WE PERFORMED OVER 600 OF THESE ADDITIONAL SURGERIES, PROVIDING A VITAL RESOURCE FOR OWNERS TO ADDRESS URGENT MEDICAL NEEDS THAT FALL OUTSIDE OF ROUTINE WELLNESS OR SPAY/NEUTER.BEYOND OUR OWN CLINICS, EMANCIPET WORKS TO INCREASE ACCESS TO VETERINARY CARE. IN 2024, WE TRAINED 3 EXTERNAL VETERINARIANS IN HIGH-QUALITY, HIGH-VOLUME SURGICAL TECHNIQUES. THIS PROGRAM SHARES OUR EFFICIENT MEDICAL MODELS WITH THE BROADER VETERINARY COMMUNITY SO MORE PETS CAN BE SERVED NATIONWIDE.

    Expenses $883,029 · Revenue $673,603

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us. Earlier years are each on their own filing page.

Nonprofiteer parses Forms 990, 990-EZ and 990-PF, in a window of recent tax years. These returns are recorded from the IRS e-file index, so their figures were extracted by that index rather than read from the return here — treat them as a different source from the filings above, not as more of the same record. A dash means the index carries no figure; Form 990-T listings carry none at all. Showing the 10 most recent; the API carries the rest.

Grants made

No itemized grants to organizations. Schedule I is filed only by organizations that granted more than $5,000 to a recipient, so most filers have none.

Grants received

The 10 largest by cash amount. The API serves every itemized grant.

Other IRS files

Auto-Revocation List

Not listed. The IRS publishes this list for organizations whose exemption was automatically revoked for failing to file for three consecutive years.

Publication 78

Listed as of 13 October 2026, under deductibility PC.

These are two separate IRS files on two separate schedules, shown as published and not reconciled with each other. Neither is a statement about whether a contribution is deductible today: 19,245 organizations appear in Publication 78 while the IRS's own revocation file lists them as currently revoked, more than half of those revoked before 2019. Absence from Publication 78 is evidence of nothing, and presence is not evidence either. Verify current status with the IRS before relying on it.
