Mission
LITTLE BIT THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER IS A COMMUNITY WHERE HORSES TRANSFORM THE BODIES, MINDS AND SPIRITS OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.
-
ADAPTIVE RIDING SERVICES: ADAPTIVE RIDING FOCUSES ON INCREASING INDIVIDUAL RIDING SKILLS WHILE GAINING THERAPEUTIC BENEFITS. LESSONS ARE TAUGHT BY ONE OF OUR INSTRUCTORS CERTIFIED BY THE PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION OF THERAPEUTIC HORSEMANSHIP INTERNATIONAL (PATH). PARTICIPANTS SHOW IMPROVED INDEPENDENCE, SELF-ESTEEM, CONCENTRATION, VERBAL FLUENCY AND REDUCED ANXIETY. IN 2025, DURING OUR 42 WEEKS OF REGULAR ADAPTIVE PROGRAMMING, 5,117 ADAPTIVE RIDING LESSONS WERE PROVIDED FOR 178 PARTICIPANTS. EQUINE-FACILITATED PSYCHOTHERAPY (EFP) AND EQUINE-ASSISTED LEARNING (EAL) INVOLVE LITTLE BIT PARTNERING WITH LOCAL MENTAL HEALTH THERAPISTS (EFP) AND EDUCATORS (EAL) TO PROVIDE SERVICES AT OUR FACILITY. THERAPISTS AND EDUCATORS WORK HAND IN HAND WITH LITTLE BIT STAFF WHO HAVE BEEN CERTIFIED BY PATH AS EQUINE SPECIALISTS. HORSES ARE UNIQUELY SUITED TO THIS KIND OF THERAPY BECAUSE THEY ARE INTUITIVE AND WILL REACT TO BEHAVIOR PATTERNS AND CUES THAT PEOPLE MIGHT MISS, ALLOWING THE THERAPIST OR EDUCATOR TO INTERACT ON A DEEPER LEVEL WITH THEIR PATIENT OR STUDENT AND ADDRESS ISSUES THAT MIGHT OTHERWISE GO UNNOTICED. IN 2025, EFP SERVICES WERE PROVIDED FOR EIGHT PARTICIPANTS IN 109 SESSIONS, AND 216 PARTICIPANTS TOOK PART IN 102 EAL SESSIONS. IN 2025, ADAPTIVE SUMMER CAMP SERVED 55 PARTICIPANTS WITH DISABILITIES AND 15 NEUROTYPICAL PARTICIPANTS IN 8 WEEK-LONG CAMPS.
Expenses $1,751,973 · Grants $62,111 · Revenue $748,482
-
THERAPY SERVICES: THERAPY AT LITTLE BIT IS AN INTENSIVE MEDICAL TREATMENT DURING WHICH A LICENSED PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL, OR SPEECH-LANGUAGE THERAPIST WORKS WITH A PATIENT, INCORPORATING THE MOVEMENT OF THE HORSE, OR THE HORSE ITSELF, AS PART OF THE TREATMENT. THE THERAPIST USES THE MOVEMENT OF THE HORSE TO ADDRESS THE PATIENT'S CHALLENGES, SUCH AS DEFICITS IN BALANCE, STRENGTH, ENDURANCE, COORDINATION, COMMUNICATION, AND ATTENTION. THIS THERAPY DOES NOT TEACH RIDING SKILLS, RATHER THE GOALS ARE GEARED TOWARDS INDEPENDENCE FOR DAILY ACTIVITIES AND INCREASED PARTICIPATION IN FAMILY, SCHOOL, AND COMMUNITY LIFE. IN 2025, LITTLE BIT PROVIDED 4,032 TREATMENT SESSIONS AND 82 EVALUATIONS TO 173 PATIENTS.
Expenses $1,325,773 · Grants $35,488 · Revenue $718,297

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us. Earlier years are each on their own filing page.

Nonprofiteer parses Forms 990, 990-EZ and 990-PF, in a window of recent tax years. These returns are recorded from the IRS e-file index, so their figures were extracted by that index rather than read from the return here — treat them as a different source from the filings above, not as more of the same record. A dash means the index carries no figure; Form 990-T listings carry none at all. Showing the 10 most recent; the API carries the rest.

Auto-Revocation List
Not listed. The IRS publishes this list for organizations whose exemption was automatically revoked for failing to file for three consecutive years.
Publication 78
Listed as of 13 October 2026, under deductibility PC.
These are two separate IRS files on two separate schedules, shown as published and not reconciled with each other. Neither is a statement about whether a contribution is deductible today: 19,245 organizations appear in Publication 78 while the IRS's own revocation file lists them as currently revoked, more than half of those revoked before 2019. Absence from Publication 78 is evidence of nothing, and presence is not evidence either. Verify current status with the IRS before relying on it.
