Mission
The mission of Universal Peace Federation USA, Inc. (UPF USA) is to provide national grassroots leadership in promoting education, peace and community service initiatives affecting family and community renewal. UPF USA advances this mission by co-hosting and participating in conferences such as the American Leadership Conference series, award ceremonies such as National Parents of the Year and Ambassadors for Peace Awards, and youth volunteer programs.
Activities or mission (Part I)
UPF USA promotes education and faith-based peace and community service initiatives affecting family and community renewal.
-
In FYE March 2025, UPF USA conducted solely or co-sponsored, national, regional and international programs including Parents of the Year awards, Ambassadors for Peace appointments, the Peace Road, Interfaith Prayer, intercultural programs, and youth education programs. The goal of all these programs is to strengthen cooperative relationships in the community, including dialogues between government and citizens, members of different faith traditions and races. Our several online webinars included Stopping the Violence which encourages the efforts of anti-violence leaders around the country to curtail gun violence and reduce crime in cities. The Washington Brief webinar series focuses on geopolitical peacebuilding and security issues in the Indo-Pacific, Europe and Middle East. Our International Media Association for Peace webinars focus on the role of the free press to support social and cultural values that keep a free society healthy and functioning. The International Association for Peace and Economic Development webinars highlight global economic and trade issues. And finally, the Interreligious Association for Peace and Development hosts a monthly webinar on religion's peacemaking role, as well as a weekly interfaith prayer webinars participated in by the all the world's faith traditions. Together with international programs, these projects aim at encouraging higher moral values, service to others and harmony within the family and community. UPF USA supports the renewal of the United Nations by sponsoring events commemorating UN special observances, including the International Day of Peace, World Interfaith Harmony Week, International Day of Women, and International Day of Families. UPF USA chapters commemorate these days with a variety of programs in which we join hands with representatives of different faiths and social groups who also support these observances. UPF USA was a major participant and co-organizer with other not-for-profit organizations in the creation of international events, including the Peace Summit in Korea in May 2025; the International Religious Freedom Summit in February 2025, where members of the world's faith traditions join hands to protect people worldwide who are persecuted for their beliefs. UPF USA's role in these international conferences included inviting participants and providing logistical and administrative support.UPF USA addresses peaceful cooperation and unity in society and community in various areas through seven major associations. They are International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace (IAPP), Interreligious Association for Peace and Development (IAPD), International Summit Council for Peace (ISCP), International Association for Peace and Economic Development (IAED), International Association of Academicians for Peace (IAAP), International Media Association for Peace (IMAP) and International Association of First Ladies for Peace. (IAFLP) and International Association of Arts and Culture for Peace (IAACP). In FYE 2025, UPF USA continued to support the peaceful unification of the Korean Peninsula through educational programs and series of webinars.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. Earlier years are each on their own filing page.

Nonprofiteer parses Forms 990, 990-EZ and 990-PF, in a window of recent tax years. These returns are recorded from the IRS e-file index, so their figures were extracted by that index rather than read from the return here — treat them as a different source from the filings above, not as more of the same record. A dash means the index carries no figure; Form 990-T listings carry none at all. Showing the 10 most recent; the API carries the rest.

Auto-Revocation List
Not listed. The IRS publishes this list for organizations whose exemption was automatically revoked for failing to file for three consecutive years.
Publication 78
Listed as of 13 October 2026, under deductibility GROUP.
These are two separate IRS files on two separate schedules, shown as published and not reconciled with each other. Neither is a statement about whether a contribution is deductible today: 19,245 organizations appear in Publication 78 while the IRS's own revocation file lists them as currently revoked, more than half of those revoked before 2019. Absence from Publication 78 is evidence of nothing, and presence is not evidence either. Verify current status with the IRS before relying on it.
