Mission
The mission of FIRST Global is to enhance the global call for STEM education in the international student community. FIRST Global does so by combining the excitement of sport through robotic challenges with the rigors of science and technology, while emphasizing the value of nations' cooperation in addressing the Grand Challenges of Engineering, as identified by the National Academy of Engineering of the United States, that our planet and people must tackle in order to thrive.Because of this, the collaborative character of leadership brought out in international youth by this effort is a defining basis of FIRST Global's success.
Activities or mission (Part I)
International FIRST Committee Association, holding competitions as FIRST Global , is a non-profit organization established to excite the youth and nations of the world about the value of investing in and pursuing STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to help build the science, engineering, and technology skills needed by nations to work on global challenges together. Driven by the enthusiasm of the students as they cooperate in teams, each nation is invited to assemble their own robot and send a high school student-team to represent its country in an annual international olympics-style robotics competition.

In September 2024, the FIRST Global Challenge was hosted in Greece. An Olympic-style competition, the 2024 challenge engaged teams from 192 nations, with 179 teams able to travel to the event in Greece. Each team is allowed a maximum of five student competitors to attend the event as members of the official traveling team, with an unlimited number of team members allowed to work on the challenge in their home country in preparation for the event. Approximately 2,082 high school students participated, under the guidance of 977 volunteer mentors. The 2024 theme of Sustainable Food Systems highlighted the cruciality to focus on the intricate and interdependent relationship between water, energy, and food, and the need to carefully manage and balance these global resources to support a sustainable food system.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. Earlier years are each on their own filing page.

Nonprofiteer parses Forms 990, 990-EZ and 990-PF, in a window of recent tax years. These returns are recorded from the IRS e-file index, so their figures were extracted by that index rather than read from the return here — treat them as a different source from the filings above, not as more of the same record. A dash means the index carries no figure; Form 990-T listings carry none at all.

Auto-Revocation List
Not listed. The IRS publishes this list for organizations whose exemption was automatically revoked for failing to file for three consecutive years.
Publication 78
Listed as of 13 October 2026, under deductibility PC.
These are two separate IRS files on two separate schedules, shown as published and not reconciled with each other. Neither is a statement about whether a contribution is deductible today: 19,245 organizations appear in Publication 78 while the IRS's own revocation file lists them as currently revoked, more than half of those revoked before 2019. Absence from Publication 78 is evidence of nothing, and presence is not evidence either. Verify current status with the IRS before relying on it.
