In 2025, the National Adult Protective Services Association (NAPSA) advanced its mission to strengthen Adult Protective Services (APS) systems nationwide through leadership, training, advocacy, collaboration, and multidisciplinary engagement. NAPSA hosted its 2025 Annual Conference and Elder Financial Exploitation Summit in Bellevue, Washington, convening APS professionals and multidisciplinary partners from across the country to address emerging issues impacting vulnerable and older adults. Continuing education credits for nurses and social workers were offered, and Austin, Texas, was secured as the host site for the 2026 conference. NAPSA leadership and staff presented at national conferences and events, including the Texas APS Conference and CoRCon. NAPSA also participated in major national convenings and advisory efforts, including the National Elder Abuse MDT Summit, the Tribal Elder Abuse Code Summit, the Elder Justice Leadership meetings, the Tribal Elder Justice meetings, and the California APS Leaders Institute Advisory Committee. NAPSA expanded its national partnerships and technical assistance initiatives through collaborative work with the Administration for Community Living (ACL), the National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA), WRMA, APS TARC, and the National Adult Maltreatment Reporting System-related initiatives. Activities included webinars, blogs, podcasts, curriculum development, and training projects focused on APS practice improvement and workforce development. NAPSA began revising its Instructor-Led Trainings (ILTs), completed APS program evaluations in South Carolina and Illinois, completed work related to NORCs EASE initiative, and finalized the CFPB Elder Fraud Prevention and Response Network (EFPRN) contract. Additional work included Arizona cross-reporting contract activities and support for Gold Standard initiatives related to the APS Final Rule. Public education and professional engagement remained a priority throughout 2025. NAPSA hosted webinars in partnership with organizations such as the American Bar Association and Bank of America, conducted Scam Advice Forums, published newsletters, and participated in interviews with various publications to increase awareness of elder abuse, neglect, exploitation, and self-neglect. NAPSA also contributed to the Heroes of Adult Protection film project and collaborated with NCEA on the Ethics in Elder Mistreatment podcast series, including a self-neglect episode. NAPSA leadership participated in national advisory and policy initiatives, including the Aspen Institute Fraud Task Force, FINRA Senior Investor Roundtable, NASAA Senior Issues Committee, RISE application review committees, and Delphi Panel review efforts for the Financial Empowerment Scale. NAPSA continued to strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration and professional leadership through active engagement with committees and advisory groups. Ongoing efforts included Regional Representative meetings, NAPSA committee work, the APS Nurses Group, the Disability Advisory Group, and the launch of a Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) group in late 2025. NAPSA also worked closely with its Board of Directors on organizational governance updates, including revisions to NAPSA bylaws. Collectively, these efforts enhanced APS capacity nationwide and reinforced NAPSAs leadership role in protecting older adults and adults with disabilities from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
