Mission

To put Christian principles into practice through programs, services, and relationships that build healthy mind, body and spirit for all.

Activities or mission (Part I)

TO PUT CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES INTO PRACTICE THROUGH PROGRAMS, SERVICES AND RELATIONSHIPS THAT BUILD HEALTHY SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY FOR ALL.

  • In 2024, the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth remained a vital and growing force across North Central Texas, serving more than 220,000 individuals across 13 counties and 35+ cities. With a mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all, the YMCA continues to ensure that everyone-regardless of age, income, or background-has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Our efforts align with Vision 2025, a bold strategic plan focused on regional expansion, facility investment, and community partnerships. In 2024, momentum continued to build as we expanded into 14 additional service areas, strengthened youth and family programs, and deepened support through early education and arts-based enrichment initiatives like 4All Studios. Our impact spans three core areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. Within the YMCA's youth development program, more than 3,300 children found a safe, structured place to go after school, while 2,484 youth built lifelong memories at YMCA Camp Carter. Our Early Learning Center supported 84 children in developing critical kindergarten-readiness skills, and more than 6,100 youth built confidence and teamwork through YMCA sports. Leadership and teen engagement remained strong, with 1,372 youth participating in Teen Nights and leadership programs.

    Expenses $12,628,182 · Grants $330,907 · Revenue $18,337,745

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
