Mission and programs · 2023

Mission

GO LLOYD CONNECTS PEOPLE AND PLACES BY CREATING PARTNERSHIPS AND TRANSPORTATION SOLUTIONS TO MAKE LLOYD EXTRAORDINARY.

  • TRANSPORTATION STORE:THE GO LLOYD TRANSPORTATION STORE, LOCATED IN OUR OFFICE IN THE LLOYD 700 BUILDING, IS OPEN FOUR DAYS A WEEK TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO LOCAL CUSTOMERS AND LLOYD CYCLE STATION MEMBERS.AS AN EXPANDED SERVICE, THE STORE NOW SERVES AS A LOW-INCOME VERIFICATION CENTER FOR TRIMET'S REDUCED FARE PROGRAM. WITH REMOTE WORK HAVING DECREASED BY 9% THIS YEAR, WE HAVE BEGUN TO SEE EMPLOYERS RETURN TO GO LLOYD'S UNIVERSAL PASS PROGRAM. AS A RESULT, 1,840 LLOYD EMPLOYEES RESPONDED TO OUR ANNUAL COMMUTE CHOICE SURVEY, AND WE FOUND THAT TRANSIT, BICYCLING, AND CAR- AND VAN-POOL RATES HAD ALL DOUBLED FROM 2022. SEEING THIS ENCOURAGING BUMP IN TRANSPORTATION OPTION USE, WE CONTINUE TO ADMINISTER AND ACTIVELY PROMOTE OUR HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PASS PROGRAM WITH AN EYE ON THE FUTURE.1,109 CARS REMOVED FROM DAILY COMMUTE.

  • EVENT PARKING DISTRICT: SINCE 2022, LLOYD HAS BEEN A DESIGNATED EVENT PARKING DISTRICT. THIS MEANS THAT DURING EVENTS WITH MORE THAN 12,000 ATTENDEES, PARKING METER RATES ARE TRIPLED TO INCENTIVIZE VISITORS TO BIKE, TAKE TRANSIT, OR CARPOOL TO EVENTS. THIS DESIGNATION HELPS TO MANAGE ON-STREET PARKING DEMAND MORE EFFICIENTLY FOR RESIDENTS, AND LOWERS TRAFFIC CONGESTION BY REDUCING THE NUMBER OF CARS CIRCLING FOR PARKING. FURTHER, REVENUE FROM THE EVENT PARKING DISTRICT HELPS TO FUND IMPROVEMENTS AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND THE TRANSPORTATION WALLET: ACCESS FOR ALL PROGRAM.GO LLOYD HAS WORKED WITH THE PORTLAND BUREAU OF TRANSPORTATION (PBOT) SINCE 2021 TO COLLECT AND MEASURE LOCAL PARKING DATA - INITIALLY TO ESTABLISH THE EVENT PARKING DISTRICT, AND NOW TO HELP DETERMINE RATE ADJUSTMENTS. THIS YEAR WE COMPLETED OUR THIRD PARKING STUDY OVERALL AND SECOND WITH EVENT-BASSED PRICING IMPLEMENTED. WE ARE ENCOURAGED BY THE RESULTS OF THE FIRST COUPLE OF YEARS OF THIS DESIGNATION, AND WILL CONTINUE TO FACILITATE THIS INITIATIVE AS MORE EVENTS RETURN TO LLOYD.THE LLOYD CYCLE STATION IS A WORLD-CLASS CONTROLLED-ACCESS BIKE PARKING FACILITY FOR ANYONE RESIDING OR WORKING IN THE LLOYD NEIGHBORHOOD.BIKE PARKING IS FREE FOR EMPLOYEES FOR THE LLOYD 700 BUILDING AND $15 A MONTH/$99 A YEAR FOR MEMBERS JOINING FROM AMERICAN ASSETS TRUST BUILDINGS OR LLOYD AREA RESIDENCES. AN UPDATED FEE STRUCTURE WAS AGREED UPON AND WILL BE ENFORCED STARTING IN 2024.

  • COMMUNITY INVESTMENT:BY CITY ADMINISTRATION RULE, 5% OF NET REVENUE FROM THE LLOYD PARKING METER DISTRICT GETS REINVESTED IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, AND THE METER REVENUE ALLOCATION COMMITTEE PRIORITIZES THOSE FUNDS FOR PROJECTS THAT ENHANCE THE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD AS A WHOLE. OVER THE YEARS, NEARLY $2 MILLION DOLLARS HAS BEEN REINVESTED IN LLOYD.WHILE THINGS HAVE SLOWED IN RECENT YEARS, WE CONTINUE TO MAKE STRATEGIC AND OPPORTUNISTIC INVESTMENTS IN TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE, INCLUDING THE BLUMENAUER BRIDGE, UPDATED BICYCLING AND PEDESTRIAN AMENITIES, AND PUBLIC GARBAGE CANS. ADDITIONAL FUNDING HAS GONE TO PAY FOR STREETCAR VEHICLES AND FOR REAL-TIME TRANSIT TRACKERS AT BUS STOPS, ON MAX PLATFORMS, AND IN BUILDING LOBBIES. GO LLOYD IS GRATEFUL FOR ITS ROLE IN SHAPING PARKING POLICY AND GUIDING INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENTS IN LLOYD.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
