Mission
Renown Health makes a genuine difference in the health and well-being of the people and communities we serve.
Activities or mission (Part I)
Women's health
-
See Schedule ORenown Transitional Care Services operates Renown Medical Group - Women's Health. Renown Regional Medical Center is the birthplace of two-thirds of all babies born in the area. Through Women's Health no patient is denied service based on inability to make payment. Women's Health has demonstrated that accessible, prenatal care where high-risk pregnancies are monitored and treated improves outcomes and reduces costs for the community. At the end of 2022, a local maternal child service location closed its doors, and many of these women now receive care through Women's Health. Women's Health gives expectant moms a program that includes prenatal visits with a physician or nurse practitioner, laboratory testing and other required services, the baby's birth at Renown Regional Medical Center and a newborn visit at the hospital from the baby's pediatrician. For the six-month period ended December 31, 2022, Renown Transitional Care Services, along with its parent, Renown Health and its subsidiaries, provided approximately $99 million in benefit to the community (using community benefit numbers gathered by the Nevada Hospital Association using state-approved criteria to ensure consistency). For a full report on the benefit Renown Health provided to our community, as well as our community needs assessment and community benefit plan, go to https://www.renown.org/about/community-commitment.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.

- Renown Transitional Care Services relied on Renown Health, a related organization to establish compensation for its top management official. Renown Health used the following methods to establish compensation: compensation committee, independent compensation consultant, compensation survey or study, and approval by the board or compensation committee. See Renown Health's Form 990, Schedule O, narrative for Part VI, Section B, Line 15 for a description of the process utilized by Renown Health.
