TO PROMOTE THE DISCOVERY, ADVANCEMENT, AND DISSEMINATION OF KNOWLEDGE IN EXPERIMENTAL PATHOLOGY AND RELATED DISCIPLINES.

  • PUBLICATIONS AND MEMBER SERVICESTHE AMERICAN JOURNAL OF PATHOLOGY (AJP) IS THE LEADING GLOBAL FORUM FOR REPORTING QUALITY ORIGINAL RESEARCH ON CELLULAR AND MOLECULAR MECHANISMS OF DISEASE, AND IS THE OFFICIAL JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR INVESTIGATIVE PATHOLOGY (ASIP) AND IS PUBLISHED BY ELSEVIER, INC. THE JOURNAL PUBLISHES HIGH-QUALITY ORIGINAL RESEARCH REPORTS, REVIEWS, AND COMMENTARIES RELATED TO THE MOLECULAR AND CELLULAR BASIS OF DISEASE. THE EDITORS ACCEPT MANUSCRIPTS THAT ADVANCE BASIC, TRANSLATIONAL, AND CLINICAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE MECHANISMS OF PATHOGENESIS OR PROVIDE A FOUNDATION FOR FUTURE MECHANISTIC INQUIRIES. EXAMPLES OF SUCH FOUNDATIONAL INVESTIGATIONS INCLUDE DATA MINING, IDENTIFICATION OF BIOMARKERS, MOLECULAR PATHOLOGY, AND DISCOVERY RESEARCH. FOUNDATIONAL STUDIES THAT INCORPORATE DEEP LEARNING AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ARE ALSO WELCOME. HIGH PRIORITY IS GIVEN TO STUDIES OF HUMAN DISEASE AND RELEVANT EXPERIMENTAL MODELS USING MOLECULAR, CELLULAR, AND ORGANISMAL APPROACHES. THE AMERICAN JOURNAL OF PATHOLOGY IS THE MOST HIGHLY CITED JOURNAL IN THE FIELD OF PATHOLOGY RESEARCH.THE JOURNAL OF MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS (JMD) PUBLISHES HIGH-QUALITY ORIGINAL PAPERS ON SCIENTIFIC ADVANCES IN THE TRANSLATION AND VALIDATION OF MOLECULAR DISCOVERIES IN MEDICINE INTO THE CLINICAL DIAGNOSTIC SETTING, AND THE DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION OF TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES IN THE FIELD OF MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTIC MEDICINE. ARTICLES REPORT NOVEL DISCOVERIES WITH DIRECT APPLICATION TO CLINICAL DIAGNOSTICS OR CLINICOPATHOLOGIC CORRELATIONS INCLUDING STUDIES IN ONCOLOGY, INFECTIOUS DISEASES, INHERITED DISEASES, PREDISPOSITION TO DISEASE, CLINICAL INFORMATICS, OR THE DESCRIPTION OF POLYMORPHISMS LINKED TO DISEASE STATES OR NORMAL VARIATIONS; THE APPLICATION OF DIAGNOSTIC METHODOLOGIES IN CLINICAL TRIALS; AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW OR IMPROVED MOLECULAR METHODS FOR DIAGNOSIS OR MONITORING OF DISEASE OR DISEASE PREDISPOSITION. Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
