Mission
THE ANCOR FOUNDATION MISSION IS TO RECOGNIZE CURRENT AND PAST LEADERS AND TO DEVELOP FUTURE LEADERS THROUGH DYNAMIC EDUCATION AND INNOVATIVE PRACTICES TO STRENGTHEN INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.
Activities or mission (Part I)
THE ANCOR FOUNDATION MISSION IS TO RECOGNIZE CURRENT AND PAST LEADERS AND TO DEVELOP FUTURE LEADERS.
-
HONORING OUR LEADERS: THE ANCOR FOUNDATION OFFERS TWO SIGNATURE AWARDS PROGRAMS, BOTH OF WHICH ARE DESIGNED TO CELEBRATE THE LEADERS WHO ARE COMMITTING THEMSELVES TO TRULY INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES. IN 2022, FOUR NEW LEADERS WERE INDUCTED INTO THE FOUNDATION'S LEGACY LEADERS CIRCLE, WHICH RECOGNIZES AND CELEBRATES THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF LONG-TIME ANCOR MEMBERS WHO HAVE MADE SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE ASSOCIATION DURING THEIR TENURE AS A MEMBER. THE FOUNDATION ALSO RECOGNIZED THE RECIPIENT OF THE 2022 COMMUNITY BUILDER AWARD. REINTRODUCED AFTER A SEVERAL-YEAR HIATUS, THE COMMUNITY BUILDER AWARD HONORS THE COMMUNITY PARTNER THAT, ALTHOUGH NOT A DIRECT SERVICE PROVIDER, HAS BEEN AN ALLY TO PROVIDERS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES IN THEIR QUEST TO SUPPORT PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO LIVE A LIFE OF THEIR CHOOSING.
Expenses $48,052 · Grants $8,333
-
BUILDING NEXT-GENERATION LEADERS: THE ANCOR FOUNDATION'S LEADERSHIP INITIATIVES ARE FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING THE NEXT GENERATION OF I/DD PROFESSIONALS. MOST NOTABLY, IN 2022 THE FOUNDATION GRADUATED ITS FIRST COHORT OF ITS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, A TWO-YEAR LEADERSHIP SKILLS DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE THAT OFFERS PARTICIPANTS A 360-DEGREE VIEW OF WHAT IT TAKES TO LEAD A PROVIDER ORGANIZATION. THE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY ALSO WELCOMED NEARLY TWO DOZEN PROFESSIONALS INTO ITS NEXT COHORT, WHICH WILL COMPLETE THE PROGRAM IN 2024. FINALLY, IN 2022 THE FOUNDATION ONCE AGAIN SPONSORED TWO LEADERSHIP INSTITUTES HOSTED BY THE NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONSORTIUM ON DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
