Mission and programs · 2023
Mission
Progress Georgia partners with grassroots activists, advocates, and community organizers by using innovative media strategy and digital tools to uplift the voices of people and communities across Georgia to support them in the fight for a better Georgia.
-
Progress Georgia recognized the value of tracking disinformation across various platforms to ensure trusted messages were uplifted when false narratives may have been heightened. Additionally, accountability programs communicated to the general public leaders directly tied to passage of certain policies and implementation of laws. The Peach Pit is a storytelling center that highlights often overlooked stories in areas across the state.
Expenses $333,757
-
Progress Georgia begins all messaging development by first starting with research (either polling or message testing). To best communicate around public education campaigns, Progress Georgia completes research projects or tests a variety of messages to ensure message saliency and impact.
Expenses $333,757 · Grants $160,000
-
Progress Georgia wanted to ensure that voters were well-educated about what legislative activities occurred during Georgias 2023 legislative session. The organization did this by communicating via various communications means, such as social media and newsletters. Progress Georgia also endeavored to better understand the states media landscape through a project called The Georgia Truth Project.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
