Mission

CEIBA VIDA's mission is to ignite change through Christian education. We believe education is the ultimate catalyst for life change and therefore, must be approached holistically. Tangibly, we do this through our girls school in Guatemala, Liberty Christian Academy. Through education, we can invest in the lives of our students and their parents by modeling Christ's love for them. We can instill an understanding that they are NOT defined by their circumstances - they are defined by their relationship with God. Our vision is to see our holistic model of education - that starts with a child, but works its way through the whole family - transforming communities for Christ in Guatemala.

  • Liberty Christian Academy is CEIBA VIDAs primary outreach project in Guatemala. We are an all-girls school based in Pamocaa village of San Raymundo, Guatemala. We provide the most vulnerable girls in our area with quality Christian education, nutrition, counseling and family support through a variety of hand-up programs. Our vision is to create a community of strong, independent, service-minded Christian women who are equipped with the education & skills needed to emerge out of abuse and poverty. Our mission is to provide young girls an excellent and challenging educational experienceto help them know, love, and practice what is true and good, while preparing them to live purposefully and intelligently in service to God and their community. We believe education is the ultimate catalyst for life change and therefore, must be approached holistically. Through education, we can invest in our students lives by modeling Christs love for them, and instill an understanding that they are NOT defined by their circumstancesthey are defined by their relationship with God. Liberty Academy is a refuge for healing. We provide students with counseling, a safe place to grow & thrive and a community of people who love them. A very small percentage of funding is brought in through fundraisers and the sale of coffee and T-shirts. Included in this service program's expenses are all the operational costs to run our school and pay our staff. Also included is $15,883, which was used to host volunteer groups from the United States who contributed to this project's work in Guatemala. The $20,408 in revenue represents payment from the volunteers for the cost of the visit.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. Earlier years are each on their own filing page.

Nonprofiteer parses Forms 990, 990-EZ and 990-PF, in a window of recent tax years. These returns are recorded from the IRS e-file index, so their figures were extracted by that index rather than read from the return here — treat them as a different source from the filings above, not as more of the same record. A dash means the index carries no figure; Form 990-T listings carry none at all.

Grants made

No itemized grants to organizations. Schedule I is filed only by organizations that granted more than $5,000 to a recipient, so most filers have none.

Auto-Revocation List

Not listed. The IRS publishes this list for organizations whose exemption was automatically revoked for failing to file for three consecutive years.

Publication 78

Listed as of 13 October 2026, under deductibility PC.

These are two separate IRS files on two separate schedules, shown as published and not reconciled with each other. Neither is a statement about whether a contribution is deductible today: 19,245 organizations appear in Publication 78 while the IRS's own revocation file lists them as currently revoked, more than half of those revoked before 2019. Absence from Publication 78 is evidence of nothing, and presence is not evidence either. Verify current status with the IRS before relying on it.
