Mission

To provide the employees of USLI the opportunity to request donations to be made to charities and causes to which they have a direct, personal connection, and to serve as a portal for funds raised from USLI employees and customers to support a broad range of charitable causes and organizations.

  • The CARE2 Fund at USLI Inc. has a long-standing relationship with breastcancer.org, a local charity specializing in breast cancer outreach, education and research. Every October we hold a series of October Together fundraisers including a silent auction. This our largest fundraiser of the year.

    Expenses $502,749 · Grants $500,000

  • Donations of funds raised from USLI employees, clients and customers for disaster relief and in support of charitable causes. 2025's outreach included support for under-served and in-need individuals; mental health treatment; malaria prevention; cancer research and treatment; and outreach for individuals with autism.

    Expenses $215,605 · Grants $215,441

  • The CARE2 Fund at USLI Inc original mission is to allow employees of United States Liability Insurance Company to request donations to be made to organizations or causes to which they have a personal connection. These causes include medical support for critically ill children to support for individuals and teams participating in fundraising events to support for community and outreach organizations such as animal shelters, counseling centers, domestic violence centers, and feeding programs. All donations range from $500 to $1,500 per cause. In 2025, donations were made to 169 charitable organizations and 20 individuals or families in need of specific assistance: twelve to assist medical patients and their families with medical or other expenses; four to help with emergency expenses after a fire and four to help cover funeral and living expenses after a sudden death.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. Earlier years are each on their own filing page.

Nonprofiteer parses Forms 990, 990-EZ and 990-PF, in a window of recent tax years. These returns are recorded from the IRS e-file index, so their figures were extracted by that index rather than read from the return here — treat them as a different source from the filings above, not as more of the same record. A dash means the index carries no figure; Form 990-T listings carry none at all.

Auto-Revocation List

Not listed. The IRS publishes this list for organizations whose exemption was automatically revoked for failing to file for three consecutive years.

Publication 78

Listed as of 13 October 2026, under deductibility PC.

These are two separate IRS files on two separate schedules, shown as published and not reconciled with each other. Neither is a statement about whether a contribution is deductible today: 19,245 organizations appear in Publication 78 while the IRS's own revocation file lists them as currently revoked, more than half of those revoked before 2019. Absence from Publication 78 is evidence of nothing, and presence is not evidence either. Verify current status with the IRS before relying on it.
