Mission
The mission of the Nonprofit Leadership Center of Tampa Bay is to develop and connect nonprofit leaders to strengthen organizations and our communities. Our training is conducted by subject matter experts in all areas of nonprofit operations (continued on Schedule O) with expertise in the areas of board governance, fund development, financial management, as well as marketing and communications. We audition our instructors to ensure that they are not only subject matter experts but also highly effective communicators in their area of specialty. Our goal is to help nonprofits operate in such a way as to improve their capacity to be effective, impactful, and sustainable thereby improving the lives of the individuals they serve. The more knowledgeable a nonprofit's board and staff are, the higher the likelihood that they will be able to leverage their resources for life changing impact and mission achievement.

We believe in the power of nonprofits to create lasting change through skilled leadership and continuous learning. Our mission is to develop confident leaders who advance effective and sustainable nonprofits, strengthening the Tampa Bay community. Through specialized training, cohort-based learning, our annual conference, and coaching programs, we equip nonprofit professionals and board members at every level with the knowledge and tools to drive impact. Thanks to our fund partners, we make high-quality professional development and leadership programming accessible, reducing the average cost per student of $288 to just $89 per four-hour class for example, ensuring more leaders can invest in their growth and success. (Continued on Schedule O)In 2025, we offered 3,736 student learning experience to 2,239 unique students serving 594 unique organizations. We offer certificate programs, peer exchange groups, and training in key areas such as nonprofit management, leadership, board governance, and financial management. Our cohort-based solutions are high-impact and include: Board Fellowship Program, which prepares professionals to serve effectively on nonprofit boards, Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management, offered in partnership with the University of Tampa, providing a strong foundation in nonprofit leadership, 3 cohorts of Certificate in Leadership (2025), designed to support succession planning and advance new nonprofit leaders into executive roles, CEO Leadership Circle, an exclusive program that supports nonprofit chief executives through peer learning and expert facilitation. Programs are delivered in-person in Hillsborough and Pinellas (in 2025) counties or virtually, led by industry experts. Our training is highly rated, averaging 4.8 out of 5, and we measure success through student attendance, participant satisfaction, and nonprofit engagement in capacity-building initiatives. In 2023, we launched a new intended impact statement and enhanced performance metrics to strengthen our strategic direction and validate outcomes. We are in the third year of reporting data related to that new strategy.Nonprofit Leadership Center delivers high-quality, accessible training designed to equip nonprofit professionals with the skills and strategies to navigate real-world challenges. Through expert-led learning, peer collaboration, and tailored development programs, we provide practical solutions that empower individuals and organizations to thrive and lead with confidence. This analysis, funded by a designated grant, validates the long-term success of nonprofit professionals who have completed the program.5. In 2024, NLC launched an enhanced Impact Report to assess the outcomes and effectiveness of our 2023 programming, providing critical insights into participant progress, knowledge retention, and nonprofit capacity-building. Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us. Earlier years are each on their own filing page.

Nonprofiteer parses Forms 990, 990-EZ and 990-PF, in a window of recent tax years. These returns are recorded from the IRS e-file index, so their figures were extracted by that index rather than read from the return here — treat them as a different source from the filings above, not as more of the same record. A dash means the index carries no figure; Form 990-T listings carry none at all.

Auto-Revocation List
Not listed. The IRS publishes this list for organizations whose exemption was automatically revoked for failing to file for three consecutive years.
Publication 78
Listed as of 13 October 2026, under deductibility PC.
These are two separate IRS files on two separate schedules, shown as published and not reconciled with each other. Neither is a statement about whether a contribution is deductible today: 19,245 organizations appear in Publication 78 while the IRS's own revocation file lists them as currently revoked, more than half of those revoked before 2019. Absence from Publication 78 is evidence of nothing, and presence is not evidence either. Verify current status with the IRS before relying on it.
