Mission
Capital City Community Centers, Inc. (CCCC) is a Rhode Island not-for-profit social service agency which provides individuals and families of the City of Providence and surrounding communities with the tools they need to live healthy and successful lives.
-
CCCC's Smith Hill Early Childhood Learning Center (SHECLC) is located at 25 Danforth Street in the heart of Providence, Rhode Island's Smith Hill neighborhood. SHECLC is state-licensed and has been rated as a "4-Star" Program by BrightStars, a national assessment system which evaluates the quality of child care programs and provides important information to parents who are making choices regarding care for their children. SHECLC operates from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and serves children ages 18 months through five years old. Families that meet income qualifications can receive child care services through a state subsidy; CCCC's Smith Hill Early Childhood Learning Center (SHECLC) has financial assistance available for families whose income exceeds the state poverty threshold, but which still face challenges in paying full tuition for the SHECLC program. SHECLC participates in the Rhode Island Department of Health and Human Services' "KIDS CONNECT" program, which provides specialized services at licensed child care centers that can help children with special needs participate, play, and learn together with their typically-developing peers.
Expenses $1,924,552 · Revenue $2,054,642
-
CCCC is also dedicated to increasing the health and wellness of senior citizens. CCCC's Lillian Feinstein Senior Center (LFSC), located at 1085 Chalkstone Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island, serves approximately 40 seniors from the Smith Hill, Valley, Mount Pleasant, Wanskuck, and Elmhurst neighborhoods. LFSC is open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Many of the seniors engaged in this program have difficulty getting their health needs met and benefit tremendously from the free health screenings and wellness/prevention programs provided by CCCC. LFSC also offers a catered lunch daily and access to case management services, including referrals to social services and food assistance through CCCC's Food Pantry. All programs and services are available to individuals of all income levels and are designed to promote optimal health and wellness, as well as to provide opportunities for participants to socialize with peers.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.

The filer's explanations (Part III)
- Schedule J, Part I, Line 4
- Line 4a: The following individual received severance and/or a change of control payment during the calendar year ending December 31, 2024: Scott Dichristofero, Director: $173,077 Line 4b: Brown Health offers a non-qualified supplemental employee retirement plan (SERP) to certain executives. The following individual wass credited with the non-vested amount indicated during calendar year 2024 and such amount is included in deferred compensation on Schedule J, Part II, Column C: John Fernandez - $313,833. The portion of the above payments that was reported as deferred compensation in prior years is reflected on Schedule J, Part II, Column F. Participants included in Brown Health's SERP are awarded plan contributions on a quarterly basis. Contributions and interest earned during a plan year vest after three years and are paid to plan participants at that time. SERP payments earned during the calendar year which have not yet vested are disclosed on Schedule J, Part II, Column C. Vested SERP payments received during the year are disclosed on Schedule J, Part II, Column B(iii) (as well as Column F if reported on Schedule J, Part II, Column C of a previously filed Form 990). Plan contributions awarded to participants who have reached age 62 become vested as of the beginning of the following calendar year.
Part I's answers as filed. A line not listed was left unanswered; on lines 1a and 3 that means the box was not checked.
