THE 457(F) PLAN IS PROVIDED TO A SELECT GROUP OF MANAGEMENT OR HIGHLY COMPENSATED EMPLOYEES (WITHIN THE MEANING OF SECTIONS 201(2), 301(A)(3) AND 401(A)(1) OF ERISA) OF PRISMA HEALTH AND SUBSIDIARIES WHO CONTRIBUTE SIGNIFICANTLY TO THE FUTURE BUSINESS SUCCESS OF THE COMPANY WITH SUPPLEMENTAL RETIREMENT INCOME THROUGH COMPANY CONTRIBUTIONS. DURING LIFE, AND SUBJECT TO THE POLICIES GENERATING SUFFICIENT VALUES, THE PARTICIPANT CAN BORROW FROM ONE OF THE POLICIES. THE BORROWING IS MONITORED AND LIMITED SO THE POLICIES DO NOT LAPSE. AT THE PARTICIPANT'S DEATH, THE ORGANIZATION RECOVERS AN AMOUNT GENERALLY EQUAL TO ITS PREMIUMS PLUS INTEREST.
